JERRIE BAKER
Jerrie Baker graduated with honors from Eastern College with a B.A. in Business (minor in Accounting), and from Chestnut Hill College with a M.Ed. She is currently enrolled at the University of Pennsylvania where she is a candidate for a M.S. in the Nonprofit Leadership program at Penn's School of Social Policy and Practice. Baker began her career by assisting with bookkeeping and other accounting duties at veterinary clinics. She has taught at both a Montessori School and a community college, managed client training programs as a software consultant and performed other various teaching roles. She is currently a senior staff member at the University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing where is part of the leadership team, managing the school and working as a senior accountant. She has taught yoga for many years in addition to her extensive volunteer work.
JILL CONDELLO
Jill Condello is a healthcare communications professional currently employed as Vice President of Strategic Services at Peloton Advantage, LLC, and Open Health Company. She received a Ph.D. in Cell and Molecular Biology from the University of Pennsylvania and a B.S. in Animal Science and Agricultural Biotechnology from the University of Delaware. Jill’s passion for both science and education led her to initially pursue a career as a college professor. During her undergraduate and graduate work, she worked as a Teaching Assistant and volunteered for the Access Science program, the goal of which was to bring science and math into underserved classrooms in West Philadelphia. The mother of three young boys, she has been serving as the Tiger Den leader for Cub Scout Pack 173 in Flourtown.
CARA GREEN
Cara A. Green was appointed as SDST’s Business Manager in January 2021. She brings over 11 years of experience from Cheltenham School District where she was appointed as the Business Manager in September 2014 after serving as the Assistant Business Manager for five years. Ms. Green is a graduate of Robert Morris University where she earned her Bachelor of Science and Master degrees in Business Administration.
NANCY HACKER
Dr. Nancy M. Hacker has been an educator in both Pennsylvania and New Jersey for the past forty-three years. Initially a classroom teacher, she taught foreign languages, English, and reading in grades six through twelve for over 15 years. Dr. Hacker followed her teaching career as a school district administrator, serving as a principal in the Penn-Delco School District and then Supervisor of Curriculum and Instruction in Haddon Heights, New Jersey district where she eventually became Superintendent. After six years in that role, Dr. Hacker returned to Pennsylvania as the Superintendent of the Interboro School District in Delaware County before coming to the School District of Springfield Township. In addition to her current and past roles teaching and advising as an adjunct instructor at Rowan University, Delaware Valley, and Gwynedd Mercy, Dr. Hacker has served on numerous statewide committees on curriculum and instruction and educational leadership. She has been a featured speaker at national, state, and local conferences over the past decade as well as a consultant to multiple school districts providing workshops on topics such as leadership and literacy. Awarded the Professional Development Advocate Award from Rowan University in 2002 and the 2018 Leadership in Public Education Award from the PA Association of School Administrators, Dr. Hacker is a Cum Laude graduate of Cornell University and holds a Master’s Degree in Educational Administration from Villanova University and a Doctorate of Education degree in Educational Leadership from Widener University.
MARY C. HELF
Mary C. Helf concentrated her legal practice in estate planning as a Partner at Fox Rothschild LLP before her retirement. She currently also serves on the Associates Advisory Council of the Philadelphia Art Museum and is a member of the Scholarship Committee of the Cheltenham Branch of the NAACP and the Development Committee of the Doylestown Health Foundation. She previously served two terms as a Trustee of the James A. Michener Art Museum in Doylestown and as a Director of Pearl S. Buck International. She and her husband supported two children during their youth in the Philippines through the latter organization’s Sponsored Child Program. She is active in politics in Springfield Township and Montgomery County. In 2016, Helf received the Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce Women in Business Leadership Award. She and her husband live in Flourtown.
MARYJO YANNACONE
Dr. Yannacone earned a Bachelor of Science in Education and Master of English from Villanova as well as a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from Widener University. Her professional career began in 1990 as a teacher of English, first at Penncrest High School and then Marple Newtown High School in Delaware County, PA. During her tenure as a classroom teacher, she developed strong skills in collaboration and leadership as a grade-level chair, an athletic coach, and President of the Marple Newtown Education Association. Upon arrival at Strath Haven High School in September 2003 as an Assistant Principal, Dr. Yannacone enhanced her knowledge and aptitude in curriculum development by implementing writing-across-the-curriculum, reading, and technology initiatives.. As principal, she worked to create a professional climate that encouraged innovation and collaboration, along with ongoing focus on continuous improvements as well as worked collaboratively to promote an inclusive community in which all students were exceptionally prepared for the future they chose, whether that led to four-year college, two-year college, vocational, military, or employment opportunity.
In 2018, Dr. Yannacone joined Springfield Township as Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum and Instruction. Since her arrival, she has revised the Curriculum Review Cycle and collaborated with faculty across the district in bringing increased attention to the representation of diverse perspectives within the K-12 classroom. Dr. Yannacone is a strong proponent of personalized learning for students, and believes firmly in working with the entire community to plan strategically for our future and for the futures of our students. Her vision SDST is a school community of growth and caring rooted in equitable practices.
KATE MCGRANAGHAN
Kate is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University with a B.S. in Special Education and Temple University with a MS.Ed. in Reading Instruction. She has worked in public education for more than 20 years and currently teaches 9th- 12th grade Emotional Support at a nearby high school. Kate is member of the Springfield Township Library Advisory Committee. She lives in Oreland with her husband, Patrick, and their two daughters who both attend Springfield Township schools.
AMANDA MARION
A graduate of University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. and an M.S.Ed., Mandy has been an educator for over 25 years teaching high school mathematics and helping students prepare for college entrance exams both in the classroom and individually. A co-director and owner of Chestnut Hill Educational Services, she recently earned a certificate in College Counseling through the UCLA extension school and now also provides services as an Independent Educational Consultant. Mandy is active as a volunteer for Scholarmatch, an organization that provides college counseling support to first generation and underserved youth, and for TODAY is a Good Day, a nonprofit supporting families with premature infants through the NICU journey. She is a former board member of the Penn Alumni Club of the Palm Beaches and the Parent Advisory Committee of Pennsylvania Hospital ICN. She and her husband have raised three children in Springfield Township schools.
JACQUIE PATTERSON
A graduate of New York University, Patterson holds a B.A. from the College of Arts and Science and a Masters in Public Administration in Public and Nonprofit Management/Finance as wells as a Certificate in Executive Leadership from Bryn Mawr College. As the director of Major Gifts in the Salus University Office of Institutional Advancement, she is responsible for designing, developing and implementing the University’s major gift program. Previously, Patterson worked in the nonprofit world as the chief advancement officer for Fund Development at EducationWorks and chief development officer at Northern Children’s Services. She has also served as vice president of Organizational Advancement at the Legacy Youth Tennis and Education.
RICH POSMONTIER
A proud parent of a former Springfield student, Rich Posmontier had a wonderful experience watching his son (now a software engineer!) be nurtured and educated by many dedicated SDST teachers, especially those in music, computer science, and math. A 30 year township resident, he continues to appreciate the hard work of the professionals in Springfield and welcomes the opportunity to give back by bringing his skills of sales, special event planning and production to this organization. For the past 40 years, Rich led one of the most successful bands in the Philly area, providing entertainment and helping plan and produce more than 2,000 large scale events from weddings to corporate events to gala fundraisers for the Philadelphia Orchestra, The Philadelphia Museum of Art, and dozens of other major institutions.
